During the Korean War a squad of Gang Dae-sik helps to lead the
Incheon Landing Operation and, after taking Seoul, makes a push towards the
North. Though the soldiers witness many horrors, they are still able to show
a compassionate side, shown when they adopt an orphaned girl, Yeong-hui.
The squad and girl lean on each other for support, but through the nightmare
of war they come up against the unbeatable odds of the Chinese army. Will
anyone be able to return home?
