Filmmaker Cho Moon-kyung (Kim Sang-kyung) plans to leave Seoul to live in Canada. Some days before his departure, he meets with his close friend Bang Jung-shik (Yu Jun-sang) at a nearby mountain to drink makgeolli (a Korean traditional alcoholic beverage made from rice). After a few rounds, they discover that they both recently have been to the small seaside town Tongyeong; then they decide to reveal the stories from their trips over drinks under the condition that they only speak about pleasant memories.

Not realising that they were in the same place, at the same time, and with the same people, Moon-kyung and Jung-shik’s reminiscence of the hot summer in Tongyeong unfolds…
